Chicago and Northwestern system employee timetable number 1, in effect on October 29, 1972. By this time, the C&NW had absorbed the Minneapolis & St. Louis, the Chicago Great Western, and several Iowa shortlines. However, the Wyoming coal line hadn't yet been built, and it would be almost a decade before the acquisition of the Rock Island's Twin Cities-Kansas City mainline.

A page from a December, 1935 issue of Broadcasting magazine, with an article and picture showing an advertising sign for KRNT Radio, Des Moines, on the dash of a Des Moines Railway streetcar.

Published in 1959, this is a manual issued to station agents and other station employees of the Milwaukee Road (Chicago, Milwaukee St. Paul & Pacific). I'd imagine that it's similar to manuals issued by other railroads in that period.
