Main Street, Deep River. Judging from the date on the banner, this photograph was probably made in either 1902 or 1913.

A residential neighborhood in Deep River, with a very young resident looking at the camera. One presumes that the passenger in the two-wheel carriage is a doll...

A quiet residential neighborhood...
The "old" high school in Deep River.
file icon 7. Public School 06/18/2009
The Deep River "Public School". We don't know if this is the "new" high school, or perhaps an elementary school, but it's certainly a more substantial building than the "old high school".
Deep River's brick-and-tile plant. Brick plants must have been quite common in early 20th-century rural Iowa, as North English had one as well.
